Lesson number one: MOVE NATURALLY
The age champions make physical activity a natural part of their daily lives. They are not weightlifters or sporting champions but they walk, do yard work, and are active in other ways. They see it not as training but perform these activities in a natural way. Regularity is the key; it naturally makes it feasible to move in the long term.
We often tell people that a major factor for success in keeping in motion and doing exercise is the fact that you can do it and want to do it, and thus continue to do it! This is personal for everyone but it is very important that you enjoy what you do and that it fits your natural talents. What you do does not matter but you have to like it, and your body must be able to handle it. And you need a variety of ways in moving. Your body needs it and you mind too.
Rest makes you rust, keep moving but do only things that give you pleasure.
